A. Here is the step by step directions for doing this. Instructions 1. Purchase a Nextel phone from the Sprint website or from a Sprint store. Choose the phone that best suits your purposes and price range. 2. Activate your Nextel phone in your Sprint store. Go to the store and discuss activating your phone with the Sprint representative. The Sprint representative will activate your phone and show you how to make and receive phone calls. 3. Should I get a nextel phone or Sprint Phone?
Q. Here's my main question, I want walkie talkie on my phone. I've heard sprint is planning on getting rid of Nextel but I don't know when? Should I get a Nextel phone or go with Sprint's Walkie Talkie Phone? I've had sprint before but got rid of them because I kept getting charges on my phone bill that I didn't order and then I had a spending limit also. I was not told about that when I signed up with them. Are there any phones that I can walkie talkie someone on nextel's iden with a sprint phone or has that not come out yet? Anyone have Nextel that likes it? Let me know what's good about it and not bad, ive heard all the bad stuff already.

how do you switch your sprint phone number to another sprint phone?
Q. I have a sprint phone but it has been flashing on and off like it's on it's last leg. I know that the first thing to will be told is that I can call sprint. I want to know how from the web or any other opinion.

A. With newer phones that have the same size SIM card, all that you have to do is transfer the SIM card from the 1st to the 2nd. If the SIM cards aren't compatible or if one phone doesn't require a SIM card all you have to do is dial call customer service and they will walk you through reprogramming the phone. When calling customer service call from a third phone because they will need you to disconnect the batteries from the phone and you will not be able to complete the call from either phone. Hope this helps:)

Can I start an account with Sprint, using my cell phone from another carrier?
Q. Was told by a local Sprint vendor that my Verizon phone couldn't be used if I switched to the Sprint vendor for cell phone service, ie. I'd need to get a Sprint phone. Is that >> really true << ? Thanks!
Asked by JeffKan1 - Thu Jan 14 21:26:23 2010 - Cell Phones & Plans - 2 Answers - Comments
A. No you cannot. Yes they are both CDMA devices but a Sprint device and Verizon device have different network settings coded into the software. On some Blackberrys they can be edited to match those of Sprint but this is not recommended nor will a Sprint representative scan your esn from a Verizon phone into their system. I would stick to your Verizon service or take advantage of getting a phone at discount with Sprint if you are signing with them.

Q. My current sprint phone doesn't support web surfing so I want to upgrade to one that does. I like to update on my twitter account but the site has been blocked at my work. Does anybody use sprint that has a phone that does this? Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated in my search.

A. When you are on your twitter page, there will be a selection called 'update device' or something similar. You will then have to enter your cell number and follow the prompts from there. After that, you will send a text to twitter and it will automatically update. Just realized you were specifically asking for Sprint. I think it will work the same.

A. Sprint Picture Mail. this is not free. It either needs to be included in your plan or they will charge per media mail. you might need to be a little more specific about which phone you are using. Do you have the option to "upload"? this will put the picture into your online sprint picture mail account and you can share it from there.

A. All you do is cancel the account. If you have a contract then you have to take the person that is buying the phone down to a Sprint store and have Sprint switch the account into their name and then have them add the new person's phone number to the account. Good luck.

Where can I get a cheap sprint phone without having to renew my contract?
Q. My phone is not connecting well with the charger and it's a struggle to get it charged. A. You could try Boost Mobile they're owned by Sprint but unfortunately use the Nextel towers so the service isn't nearly as good. Have to tried asking friends as well as checking craigslist or perhaps asking if anyone has one on craigslist? Just be careful you don't get ripped off and the sad thing about it is everyone seems to try these days. Sorry...ALMOST everyone. I don't know where you're located sorry didn't check but I'm going to upgrade my Samsung Exclaim later today to a new phone with Sprint and I'd let you use mine...it's still in great shape considering especially the number of times I've dropped it!

A. If you're looking for a smartphone, I'd recommend the Palm Pre or the Samsung Moment. Both feature Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A services and also have wi-fi adapters so that you can utilize extant wi-fi connections. Also, both feature full QWERTY keyboards, so you can text using them. Having used both, I must admit that while I like the Pre's multitasking and multitouch capabilities and the general ease of use of Web OS, the Moment does have a better keyboard and gives you the option of using either the QWERTY keyboard or a virtual one (the Pre only has the physical QWERTY keyboard, although there is a homebrew app to support a virtual keyboard). If you're not looking for a smartphone, the Samsung Exclaim might be a good idea - it's a dual slider… [cont.]

What Sprint phone should I get for my wife?
Q. She uses a Sanyo 4920 and has problems getting the phone on as well as messages that arrive days later. The Sprint tech thinks the battery needs replacing and suggests a new phone would be cheaper. Yeah, as long as we renew our contract. It expired last month and since I'd like to replace my Treo 650 with a 2nd gen i Phone, hopefully this winter, I don't want to renew our contract. I suggested to my wife we buy a Samsung M300 on e Bay for $100 + $15 shipping. Is that a decent phone? She doesn't care about extra features, just needs it for talking. I've seen conflicting reviews on the Katana II, Razr V3, and other Sanyos. Will Sprint charge an activation fee just to change phones? Any suggestions appreciated.

Um I would try the original phone you suggested... the samsung m300. i'm not sure what it looks like but i'm sure it'll do the job. Good luck!

A. Um, not a razor! I recently got a razor with Sprint company and it is slow, it freezes quite often, and I constantly have to keep plugging it the charger. Um I would try the original phone you suggested... the samsung m300. i'm not sure what it looks like but i'm sure it'll do the job. Good luck!
