From Google Video Search: "news and media" Why does American news media on both sides have to be so absurdly biased? Q. As an outside impartial observer (im from Ireland) it seems crazy to me. Rachael Maddow of MNSBC said that FOX drummed up the Shirley Sherrod and Black Panthers controversy because they want whites to be scared of black people. That is a disgrace, obviously FOX is a conservative network but how can that woman get away with that statement. Are their any news network in America that doesnt take sides? Asked by Edward - Fri Jul 23 20:22:29 2010 - Media & Journalism - 7 Answers - Comments A. Only a couple corporations own the major networks. The 'news channels' are absurdly biased to either end of a 'spectrum' of ideologies that they themselves define in order to establish 'norms' that form the bases for the thoughts and attitudes of a majority of Americans so as to further certain agendas. Answered by galacticspore - Fri Jul 23 20:27:53 2010 Do you think the news media is partly to blame on bad economy?
Q. Think about it every day you only here the negative news from the media. Never anything positive. So then people get fearful and then tend to follow into the trend of the way the media wants us to go so they can report their stories of the hardships that Americans are going through. And some people are that is a fact. But most people are still doing well. I think the media should report the positive news just as much as their negative news and then people will start spending money again to boost the economy. What is your thoughts? Asked by SteveO1608 - Sat Dec 6 09:03:44 2008 - Media & Journalism - 3 Answers - Comments A. Yes, they instill fear in people and make people hang on to the little bit of money that they have instead of spending it. Other factors include the idiots who thought that it was a great idea to lend money to everybody to buy over priced houses that would depreciate in value soon after purchase, thereby making the loan collateral worth less than the loan. Morons with no foresight have been in charge of this country for many years, their actions are motivated by votes and feel good legislation instead of what is best for the country in the long term... and we keep electing them again and again; we get what we deserve. People vote on media ads instead of logic and principal. It will never change so long as there are no testing requirements… [cont.] Answered by The Thinker - Sat Dec 6 09:17:47 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "news and media" |

Farnsworth and Lichter find that the news media, despite the wide variety of outlets, have consistent problems in terms of fairness and focus on substantive matters rather than the horse-race reporting of the latest polls. In addition to the extensive discussion of the 2008 campaign, the third edition offers far more discussion and evidence regarding the use of alternative media, including online content, in the most recent presidential election. The authors conclude that online news had many of the same problems found in mainstream news coverage. From Google Product Search: "news and media" |
