How do you get itunes to download correct album artwork?
Q. I bought a CD recently and imported it to itunes. When I click on get album artwork it gives me the wrong picture. I've been on itunes store and they have the album with the correct picture. I have tried saving this picture and then adding it as the album artwork however because it is a small version it turns out blurry. Is there any way of getting itunes to get the correct album artwork or a picture which is high quality like when you download a song off itunes?

A. When I get album artwork I don't like, I usually go to Amazon.com or CDBaby and save the artwork from there. Then I paste it into i Tunes.

How do I connect my itunes to the internet?
Q. I keep getting this error when I go to retrieve a song I've been gifted or to browse the itunes store or even to check for updates... "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try it again."
Asked by freeimogen - Sat Sep 11 03:04:18 2010 - Computer Networking - 2 Answers - Comments
A. well first of all, you need to be hooked up to an internet source. Either through wi-fi or actually being hooked up. if it doesnt work then, call someone you know who knows a lot about computers. Maybe you don't have an internet source. If you dont have one, go to a wifi hotspot, like Starbucks, or Mc Donalds. i Tunes might have a problem with itself. Call Apple inc.and see if they can help. Sorry I dont have any more advice.

How do I get i Tunes to refresh its database?
Q. After installing i Tunes and loading up my new i Pod, I discovered that my id3 tags were a mess. I used an external editor to do batch changes (the godfather), and things now appear to be much cleaner. However, i Tunes does not reflect the changes that I made. Can I force i Tunes to re-scan the music files on my hard drive?

A. the only way i can think of is to "delete" the songs in the library, without deleting them from your computer and then import them back into itunes.

How do you add songs from the i Tunes store to a playlist in i Tunes 9?
Q. With the old version of i Tunes, (i Tunes 8) you could click and drag any song from the i Tunes store to a playlist, and you could then gift those songs, or publish them as an i Mix. With the new i Tunes, (i Tunes 9) the capability of clicking and dragging songs from the store to a playlist seems to be gone. Does anyone know of a way to add songs from the i Tunes store to a playlist in i Tunes 9? Thank you!

A. At the bottom of the page you'll notice a "Wish List". On the song you want to "save" go next to the price button and locate the arrow. Pull down the options. There will be a "save to Wish List". Select that, voila. When you open your "Wish List" that song will be there. I know it's a pain in the butt if you already have a huge play list of songs you're thinking of buying, but it's the only option I've found for now.

A. you need to look in the itunes folder on your hard drive and REMOVE any files saying library before restarting itunes (the files have becom e corrupted) start itunes again then add music to the library manually. When you add songs to itunes you don't add the actual song - just a link to it's location. The "!" means that that song is no longer findable . For example the memory stick has been removed. To avoid this you need to do the following:- In i Tunes preferences set both "let i Tunes manage my music" And "i Tunes keeps local copy in music folder " - the exact wording and location in preys will depend on version of i Tunes you are running Once you have done this, plug in your memory stick again and add the… [cont.]

My computer with itunes crashed, just installed itunes on new computer. How to keep ipod from syncing to it?
Q. I just installed a new itunes on a different computer, and I want to manually sync some videos to my ipod. What I need to know if if I plug my ipod into the computer(which is FILLED with my music) will it start to synchronize right away to the empty itunes list? I don't want to loose my music on there! How do I make sure that doesn't happen?

A. Set your i Pod to manually manage music; But the good way is to transfer all existing songs/videos from your i Pod back to your new computer and i Tunes. Simply use this handy transfer program called Tansee i Pod Transfer Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer. With just a few simple clicks, it will help you copy all videos/songs from i Pod back to your selected folder on your new computer, and then you can easily add those files back to i Tunes. More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your i Pod. And all song titles are preserved. In this case, all songs/videos (both new and old) are on your i Tunes library that you can syn with whenever you wish to without deleting any files. It even has step-b [cont.]

How to you make i Tunes add to play count when a song starts?
Q. Basically, I would like to change the format of play count in i Tunes. In Winamp, the play count for a song increases when you play the song. In i Tunes, however the play count increases when you get done playing the song. I would like to alter this in i Tunes to make it just like Winamp. It's really annoying to me. To anyone who took the time to read this, I am grateful.

How long do i Tunes usually take to approve a podcast series?

A. I worked on a project like that with dynamic podcasts with Itunes (itms process) and after months we decided to opt for another solution because it took too much time. So with my experience, I'd say you can wait for a long time before you have an answer. We were never able to speak to anyone in charge of that, we couldn't have more information than what was on the website and it was a big project (over a hundred thousands)...I wish you good luck and I hope you won't wait forever like I did!

How do I move my i Tunes library from one computer to another?
Q. I know this has been asked before, but I can't the information I need. I have about 1000 songs, about 200 videos (mostly podcasts) a single game, and 300 photos in my i Tuned library. Some of them were imported from a CD, so they're in the i Tunes folder (which is in "my music) but the others are scattered all over the place. I've tried the "consolidate my library" option, but I got a "filename is too long or invalid" message, and I have no idea what that means. So my problem is this... I want to just copy my i Tunes music folder onto a large portable hard drive and bring it to my other computer, (which has i Tunes installed) and import the whole thing. But then I don't know how to get all of my songs into one… [cont.]
Asked by Jorge - Sat May 5 11:30:28 2007 - Music & Music Players - 2 Answers - Comments
A. What you can do is burn your library to a disk. You click on file and back up to disk. Then it will burn a couple of disks which you import into your new library.
