Can I start my new IPod nano at someone elses pc and download their music and then take home to my own pc?
Q. What happens to the music I put on the ipod nano from my friend's pc when I go home and synch into my home computer. Its new and not used yet. I don't have an ITunes account on my pc yet either.
Asked by taormina - Fri Mar 6 09:27:18 2009 - Music & Music Players - 11 Answers - 1 Comments
A. You should install your i Tunes account on your PC. And before you syn into your home computer, you will need to firstly install an i Pod transfer program on your computer, like this one called Tansee i Pod Transfer With a few simple clicks, it will help you transfer all music/video from i Pod to computer, and then you can easily add those songs back to i Tunes. If you did not utilize i Pod transfer and directly click syn, it will erase all music. Hope this can help.

IPOD nano?
Q. To those of you that have an ipod nano, I wanted to ask for one for christmas and I was wondering if you think this is worth asking for? And if it isn't, which one would be better? I have never had an MP3 player of any kind, so I wouldn't know how to use one. Are they easy to use? Please tell me all about the ipod nano.

A. I just got myself a brand new Nano and love it! They are very easy to use. You do need i Tunes, which you can download from apple.com for free. Then you connect your i Pod using the included cable and it will walk you through adding songs to it. I prefer to create playlists of songs and instead of auto syncing (where i Tunes automatically adds your songs from your Music Library), I prefer to do it manually and drag the playlists I want onto the i Pod (which shows in i Tunes after it's connected). I got a 4 gigabyte one which will hold 1000 songs, roughly. You can also put pictures on it but I mostly use mine for music. The colors are really cool...I got the pink one. They are small and because they have a flash drive, it can survive a drop… [cont.]

How do I convert my ipod nano camera videos to windows movie maker?
Q. Me, and my little sister are making a movie, and we want to know how do we convert the ipod nano videos on to the windows movie maker. We have them copied to the compute, and it's a file labeled "Ipod Cache" and the videos are there, but how do I convert them into windows movie maker?

A. i Pod produce videos in MP4 format if you check out the video extension. Windows Movie Maker reads videos in WMV, AVI format. So to speak, you will have to convert the MP4 formats to WMV or AVI. This requires a program to do it. The best and most reliable video converter tool that I've ever used is a tool called Video Converter . It's able to convert all videos between various formats. Easy to use and professional. You should really give it a try. You may check out at: Best of luck.

Can you connect ipod nano screen to an ipod video with a broken screen?
Q. The screen on my ipod video broke, and I have an ipod nano with no funcionality but the screen does work. So I want to know if i can connect the ipod nano screen to the 30 gig ipod. Does anyone know if this is possible before I disasemble my video?

A. I don't think that you can, plus, the nano's screen is smaller, so you would end up with exposed electronics, and the new screen would be very unstable, if it even worked at all.

What is the oldest generation of ipod nano that can be used in the 2009 Honda Civic?
Q. I would like to purchase a used ipod nano to keep in my car so I don't have to keep taking my itouch in and out of the car. Any one know what's the oldest nano that can be used using the factory installed connection? I'm only interested in a nano and I don't need any accessories to connect the ipod to the car. Thanks!

A. All ipods will work fine (except the shuffle) if your using the USB connection in the armrest. If your using the 3.5 mm jack below the volume control, all ipods will work.

How can you connect a new ipod nano to a 2009 Ford Mariner radio with 6 disc changer?
Q. My g/f just bought a 2009 Mariner and her birthday is coming up... I was thinking about buying her an Ipod nano as part of her birthday gift, but I want to make sure I have all the peripherals to hook it up to her radio in her Mariner... Is there anything special that I will need, or is the output cord from the nano enough?
Asked by Hades G - Mon Aug 10 12:34:28 2009 - Car Audio - 1 Answers - Comments
A. You will need an integration kit. Try your local car audio specialty store. Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, DICE, PAC, and Peripheral all make good units. I use the RF unit in my 05 honda, and it works like a champ, so try and go that way first.

ipod nano?
Q. I asked for a 3rd generation ipod nano for christmas, so im wondering a few things about it... Is it good? Is it durable/does it break or freeze easily? How long does your battery really last? Is it easy to get videos on? Do you have to buy every song you put on there? Can you only use itunes to get music on there? Will it only work with special ipod headphones? Is the battery rechargeable? and overall would you recommend it? thanks, im like totally new with anything ipod related. haha

A. I love my new nano! i upgraded from the first generation, and i am so glad i did. I have had issues with mine freezing, and it will stop working for a day or so then start working again. I will listen to music and play Solitaire, and I can get a good 8 hours or so off of that (and the games kill the battery). Videos- still figuring that out! Most of my songs are from my CDs i already owned, but buying i Tunes is reasonably cheap, so yeah. You have to have everything (music, videos, pics) in i Tunes, but you can buy off of other sites. Most normal headphones work with i Pods- many people don't recommend using the white ones, because it is a tip-off to thieves. The battery is rechargable. I would totally recommend it- it's sooo amazingly… [cont.]

How do I fix my Ipod nano screen from freezing?
Q. I have a 4th generation ipod nano that is about 8 months old. Recently I have had problems with the ipod "sticking". At random points during a song, the ipod's screen (while the music continues to play as instructed) will freeze, preventing me from adjusting volume, changing song, navigating the menu, turning off, or doing other functions. After about 20 seconds, the screen unfreezes, only to repeat about 30 seconds later. Please help. Any suggestions are useful.

A. Have you ever tried restarting your nano? or how about restoring it? These two methods usually work in these small problems. To restart your nano manually, hold both the center button and the menu button until the screen blanks out and then reboots by itself. Let go once it restarts. It might be around 10 seconds or so. You could also try restoring the nano because there might be a bug in it. To restore, simply plug the nano in i Tunes, and press the restore button in the middle of the screen =]

Q. I just got an i Pod nano and I have some songs from my old MP3 that I want to put on it. A. You have to have itunes because Apple tries to prevent illegal downloading and such. You can drag your files into itunes but you have to have another copy of them in the computer. Hope I answered your question to your understanding. :)

A. Hello there, as long as your songs are still on your i Pod, you can get them back to your computer and i Tunes easily. This is how I did. I used Media Widget to move all library files from my i Pod onto my computer and i Tunes It can transfer all i Pod content to the i Tunes on your computer, including i Pod music, movies, playlists, videos, podcasts, ratings, last played, and more. It's such a powerful one that many friends around me have used it for a long time. Easy and safe. Now all files are on your computer and i Tunes, you can sync your i Pod with it smoothly without deleting any files. Just free download it to try. A. Unless you have the songs from your old i Pod already in your i Tunes library, you wont be able to do this easily. Because of Apple crappy sharing rules, you are not able to Upload songs from your ipod, only download and sync from the current i Tunes library associated with that i Pod. If the music is already in your library, you will be good to go. Just connect your new i Pod and i Tunes will ask you to assign the library and away you go.

A. it depends on what youre using it for.. if you want small, a choice of colors, and a camera go with the nano if you don't care about the size and want alot of storage go with the classic i would say the classic because most people already have cameras in their phone and color doesnt really matter to me..the 144 more gigs is a huge thing..in my opinion storage is everything in an ipod if you need any other info go to this website ..

A. Here is a solution. Simply use this handy program called Tansee i Pod Transfer to help you to backup and transfer those songs onto his laptop and i Tunes Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer. The whole process goes as follows: With just a few simple clicks, it will help you transfer all videos/songs from i Pod back to computer, and then you can easily add those songs back to i Tunes. In this case, all songs/videos are on his i Tunes library that he can syn with whenever he wants to without deleting any files. More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your i Pod. It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process: Best luck!
